Situated at Lin Ma Hang, Sha Tau Kok, Yips Hakka Village House is a one hall three-bays built in 1925. Owing to prolonged water seepage and lack of maintenance, most of the timber members deteriorated. This project was to restore the whole building, works include replacement of all purlins and roof; restoration of mouldings on ridge; reconstruction of cockloft and stairs; re-rendering
of flooring and walls; re-decoration of “descendant beam”, murals, eaves boards and tendril motif; repairing of wooden furniture, and reconstruction of new granite balustrade and so on.
