Built in 1932, Pun Uk is a typical Meixian-Hakka mansion. Although it had been used for many years and changed hands, its structure and configuration,
construction details of roofs, decorations and use of color, etc. were still preserved. Our team was commissioned to carry out a survey of the laying methods, materials, and measurements of the roof
structures; and also to re-trace all the fading paintings on timber purlins and door panels before all these precious records are gone.
