TAI PO LAW ANCESTRAL HALL

Built in 1938, Law Ancestral Hall is a two-halls three-bays family ancestral hall at Po Sum Pai Village, Tai Po. Termite invasion weaken most of the timber members and therefore necessary to largely replace the purlins, cocklofts and to reconstruct the roofs. The inappropriate design of side chambers causing water seepage was solved in our hands. The other works include repairing of ridges; reconstruction of doors; re-decorating indoor and outdoor murals and earth god tablet; re-rendering of external walls; repairing of timber altar; touch-up of altars and door arches; repairing timber ancestral tablets, etc.
