TIN SHUI WAI TAT TAK COMMUNAL HALL

Tat Tak Communal Hall was established in 1857. It has been waterlogged since the development of Tin Shui Wai. The timber roof structure was largely damaged by termite, part of the roofs collapsed. It was until the completion of drainage work in recent year relieved the problem and thus restoration could proceed. This restoration work was the 2nd phase focus mainly on the rear hall, numerous works include reconstruction of collapsed wall and roofs; repair main ridges and re-install the finial pearl; re-decorate eaves boards; and repair all timber and stone plaques, and so on. The Communal Hall opens for public visit after this
restoration.
