Tung Wah Museum, built in 1911, is the Main Hall Building of Kwong Wah Hospital originally. As a preliminary study for the redevelopment scheme of Kwong Wah Hospital, this project mainly was to conduct structure investigation of the building, including condition survey to the roof, timber structures, brickworks, plastering on external walls, and also to carry out sample tests to certain building materials. On the other hand, minor maintenance works had been carried out to the bracketing units; repair internal and external walls; replace deteriorated bricks; repair roof level waterproofing and also the ceramic figurines on the
ridge.
